Nurse call systems are available in both wired and wireless versions. There will be a main control position which indicates the point of origin of the call and a silence button to mute the audible warning.
The unit can only be reset by the person responding to the call going to the room and operating the button on the call unit.
Room units can have an infra-red link to a remote call button to provide additional flexibility and ease of use.
Disabled WC Alarm
Regulations require that all new disabled WC installations are fitted with a method of communication.
This consists of a control indicator unit which is located where it will be visible and heard if triggered.
A ceiling pull switch would be fitted within the Disabled WC to provide a means of summoning assistance, this normally incorporates a visible reassurance light to show that the system has been operated.
